THERAPY IN ENGLISH
FOR EXPATS & INTERNATIONAL BERLINERS
As a psychotherapist in Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg), I provide evidence-based therapy in German and/or English, so you can use a language you feel comfortable expressing yourself in. My integrative approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness-based methods to support your mental health and well-being.

Insurance and Payment Options for International Clients
As an English-speaking psychotherapist in private practice in Berlin, I offer various payment options suitable for international clients:
-
Private health insurance: German private health insurances and many international health insurance plans cover psychotherapy services. Please contact your provider about your individual options here.
-
Self-payment: Clear fee structure with options for direct payment
-
Company health benefits: Some (international) employers offer mental health benefits that may cover therapy sessions.
-
"Kostenerstattungsverfahren" (Reimbursement through German statutory health insurance): Since my practice operates as a private practice, unfortunately, the costs for psychotherapy are not directly covered by statutory health insurance. However, there is the possibility of applying for reimbursement in advance through the "Kostenerstattungsverfahren" (cost reimbursement process). This is an agreement between you and your statutory health insurance provider. It usually requires certain formalities, such as providing evidence that you were unable to secure a therapy spot in a timely manner at regular insurance-contracted practices. The process can be time-consuming and is not always successful. It is also possible that only partial reimbursement will be granted, meaning that you may need to cover the difference yourself. If you're considering this option, I recommend contacting your health insurance provider directly to clarify the necessary steps. This step is indeed fundamental to initiating the process. Of course, I am happy to assist you with any questions and will support you within my capabilities.
